1- BlogSpot Basic Section Settings:

Rules for deciding on a title and a description:

Your blog's title should be brief and easy to grasp. To make it beautiful, use a simple title (maximum 65 characters) and avoid using the vague format or more information.

Because Google only indexes 75 characters on desktop and 65 characters on mobile, keep your site under 65 characters.

On the other hand, you'll need to define your blog in great detail for the description.

For better SEO, try to include some targeted keywords in the description and title.

There are two unique guides accessible for you if you don't know how to research keywords.

Change your title and description according to user demands by going to Blogger's Settings > Basic.

After you've entered the title and description, go to the privacy section and check the "yes" box. Otherwise, search engines won't be able to visit your site.

Blog Language:

You can change the language of your blog here. It is set to English by default (United Kingdom)

The Blogger platform supports over 100 languages, allowing you to select the most appropriate language for your site. It might be beneficial for your viewers to be able to grasp your blog more readily.

Adult Content

It was turned off by default. If you have any 18+ content on your blog, you must enable this button.

Note: If you utilize 18+ content on your blog, you will be rejected by Google AdSense in the future.

Google Analytics

In order to track your users' behavior, you must first set up your Google Analytics account.

Do you have no idea how to create a Google Analytics account?

2- Privacy Settings:

Make sure that the option “Visible to search engines” is constantly enabled because this allows search engine bots to explore your website.

No search engine bot will be able to access your site without this permission.

3- Configure HTTPS Availability and Redirection:

Double-check that both choices are selected. If you want your visitors to be able to access your site using an HTTPS secure connection, you must enable it.

Turning on HTTPS Redirection settings has a lot of advantages.

There are three key advantages to turning it on.

  • It aids in determining whether or not your visitors have accessed the correct website. There will be no redirection to a malicious site.
  • It also aids in detecting attempts by an adversary to hack you, steal your data, or send any unwanted requests.
  • It incorporates encryption to provide safe internet browsing. As a result, attackers will have a tougher time listening in on your visitors' discussions, tracking their actions, or stealing their data.

4- Permissions for Blogger Authors:

You can add a new author or administrator for your blog in this section.

Simply go to settings> permissions tag and look for "pending author invites." Click on it and type in the email address of the author you wish to invite to your blog.

After that, the invited author will accept your request and become the author of your blog through email.

5- Blogger Meta Tags Configuration:

Here are the most critical SEO BlogSpot (blogger ) settings that you should not overlook.

1- What Are Meta Tags?:

Let's look at an example: Go to Google and type in "Knowledge Shout." You'll see their website meta description behind the website title, as shown in the image below.

The description appears in the Meta Description box, which is highlighted in red.

Tips:

  1. Make sure your Meta description includes the intended keyword.
  2. The meta description should be composed in a courteous manner (no need to add descriptive information) Simply describe your website's purpose and include some of your goal keywords before publishing it.

How to Add a Meta Description to Your Website:

  1. Go to your Blogger account (BlogSpot account)
  2. You can locate the search description under Settings > Meta Tags.
  3. Fill in this box with a suitable Meta Description.
  4. Done

6- Redirects and Errors:

What is the reason for the custom page not being found? Do you have a suggestion for a custom page?

don't be concerned

Let me explain what the term "custom page not found" means. Assume you posted a blog post that is no longer available on your blog for some reason.

For that reason, when consumers bounce back, your rating will automatically drop. Most bloggers overlook the custom page not found setting, which is a crucial SEO feature.

Code:
<a href =”your homepoage url” target=”_blank”> Error 4o4 Page Not Found </a> <p> Currently this page is unavailble <a href =”your home URL” target=”_blank”> Home Pasge </a>

Simply copy the code above, replace it with your URL (your home page URL), and save the modifications. It's finished.

7- Crawlers And Indexing: Robots.txt is another important parameter.

It's basically a file that works with the crawler of a search engine. When crawlers visit your website, the robots.txt file tells them which parts of your site they can view.

This is a Crucial Aspect of Blogger SEO. If you did something incorrectly, the crawlers may reject your scan.

You can use this feature to prevent search engines from crawling your website; if you wish to use it, copy the code below and paste it into Custom Robots.txt.

Code:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google Disallow: User-agent: * Disallow: /Search Allow: / Sitemap: https://www.Example.com/sitemap.xml

Copy and paste your website's URL inside "https://www. Example.com" and save the modifications.

Robot Header made to order.

It's also the most significant SEO setting. If you neglect these, the rest of the options are meaningless.

If you do this correctly, it will be quite beneficial.

What is the best way to use these Header tags?

I've included an image for you to look at, but please don't edit it on your own.

Homepage If you select "All" for the Home Page option, you are allowing search engines to fully index your blog's homepage.

Option, Archive & Pages Because we did not enable search engines to index, you must select (no index) and (no archive). Because the link to the Archive or Search Pages article is not the same as the Original Article.

Posts and Pages by default:- This is where Then, on the Save Settings option, click on All. All of the options in Custom Robots Header Tags have now been completed.

8-User Setting (General):

The final Blogspot SEO setting is a user setting. It isn't as crucial as some of the other options.

In the user settings, you just provide your own (owner) information such as your name, email, and contact information, among other things.

I recommend that you include these options and make them more appealing to users.

Simply select Edit Post and fill in your personal details.

So it brings us to the end of this blogging.

Now move on to the SEO portion of the posting. This part is just as crucial as the settings section.

SEO Settings for the BlogSpot Posting Section:

The accompanying screenshots show the SEO settings for the Blogspot posting section. So, let's take a look at each of these options one by one.

The Importance Of Labels In Blogging:

This is the most significant setting in Blogspot; without it, your user experience, as well as the search engine's, may suffer.

Labels help you categorize your posts. As you can see in the image above, this Blogspot post is about SEO and blogging, so I included a label here. Blogging, SEO

I propose that you include labels to your posts; this will aid search engines in categorizing your blog and will assist people in finding similar topics.

Permalinks

Permalinks are the URLs for your posts that appear once they've been published.

Optimizing your article URLs for both readers and search engines is also a good SEO technique.

Blogger Post URL Optimization Tips

  1. Your post's URL should be short and simple to read.
  2. Breaking/stopping words like "and," "our," and "to" should be avoided in permalinks.
  3. Make sure your URLs aren't too long. Keep the URL brief and sweet.
  4. Include your chosen term in the URL of your post as well.

Description of the search:

As the name implies, "Description" refers to describing your post and informing search engines about it.

Make your descriptions concise and meaningful in order to generate SEO-friendly descriptions.

Add appealing terms to your description box to increase your search CTR. Instead of jamming keywords into your description, just describe your topic in a few words.

Note: This description is sometimes referred to as the "META Description Of Post."

Optional Configuration:

The most significant SEO setting is the options settings. The majority of bloggers don't talk about it.

As I did for my blog, make sure to configure your option settings. Above is a screenshot of the option settings.

When in Compose Mode:

Check to see if Html Literally is selected. It will make it easier for search engines to crawl and index your site.

Under the Line Breaks tab

make the following changes: Check the box that says "Press "Enter" for line breaks." This will erase all line breaks.

Tags from your HTML code, making it easier for crawlers to read.

Tags: Custom Robots

Ensure that this setting is set to default.
